Request for expressions of interest: Building climate resilience of Limpopo basin

The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the African Water Facility, managed by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in the form of a grant to cover the costs relating to the implementation of the project: “Feasibility studies to build climate resilience in the Limpopo basin“.
The Southern Administration for Water (ARA-SUL), the implementing agency, intends to apply part of this grant for the payment of consulting services called “feasibility studies for public-private partnership arrangements and financing strategies“, for which the request for expressions is directed.
The purpose of this assignment is to provide the Government of Mozambique the necessary technical and scientific advice in the design, supply and financing structure and transaction mechanisms most suitable for this project.
The study will prepare and promote a financing strategy that includes the need assessment for the structure of financial transactions for the development and operation of Mapai dam, along with other options for investments to be identified during the pre-feasibility study as how to improve climate resilience in the Mozambican part of the Limpopo River basin.
