Automatic meter reading system
1. This IFB follows the GPN for this Project that appeared in UNDB on April 8, 2009.
2. The Government of Mozambique (GOM) has applied a credit from IDA (International Development Association) for the implementation of an Integrated Management System for the Electricity of Mozambique (SIGEM РSistema Integrado de Gesṭo da Electricidade de Mo̤ambique) and intends to apply part of the funds to make payment under the agreement(s) resulting from this IFB.
3. EDM now invites eligible and qualified bidders for Energy Development and Access Project in Mozambique for implementation of Smart Metering Project aimed to achieve a permanent protection of the revenues generated from sales to all its largest customers.
4. Bidding will be conducted using the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, edition of January 2011, and is open to all Bidders eligible as defined in these Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from EDM at the address given below from 07:30 to 15:00 hours. A pre-bid meeting with prospective bidders will be held on May 11, 2015; 14:00am local time at Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), Av. Filipe Samuel Magaia nº 368, (Directorate of Electrification and Projects – SIGEM Project).
6. A complete hard copy set of the bidding documents in English may be collected in person by interested Bidders from the address below, on submission of a written application and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of one hundred ($100.00) US American Dollars (or equivalent in MZN). The method of payment shall be either in cash (paid to EDM’s Central Treasury Department – Tesouraria Central da EDM – at Avenida Agostinho Neto N.70, Maputo, Mozambique), or direct deposit or bank transfer to either of the following bank accounts:
